Look deep inside yourself, and you will discover your potential

I  deeply believe that when we come into this world, we are not like blank pages of an unwritten book, because we sprout from a seed of truth, goodness, love and trust. We are born from the flower of ideals in order to fully realize our potential. We are small, perfect, intrinsically beautiful creatures, just like fragile and delicate Thumbelina. We carry in us a light whose brightness illuminates everything around us when we live a full life, having the courage to follow our hearts.

Why, then, do we forget about this, carried by the flow of life? Why do we doubt ourselves, our beliefs and lose our childhood joy, do we not let our inner light shine fully?

Is it possible to be really happy when accepting life according to the ideas of others?
After all, being a Thumbelina, you can not become a frog, cockchafer or even a mole.

Why, then, do we draw knowledge of ourselves from the opinions and imaginations of others about what is wise and appropriate for us? Why do we force ourselves to adapt to the environment that questions us, and the fear of rejection and lack of acceptance deprives us of the courage to live in freedom, to be ourselves and to follow our dreams?

How often do others clip our wings, or, just like the mole Thumbelina, criticize our longing for flowers, warm and sun, claiming that the light does not exist, and even if it exists, it blinds, although they have never seen it themselves?

They do this because the courage of others arouses fear in them, undermining the certainty of the choices they have made, as well as a well-grounded idea of how to live. Perhaps they lack the courage to follow their own hearts.

Wouldn’t it be better, instead of.remaining within a framework of schematic existence and apparent acceptance, to look inside yourself and find out the deeply hidden childhood dreams?

In my opinion, it’s worth it because our heart and intuition will tell us who we really want to be. And if we only gather the courage to follow them, we will certainly experience a miracle. After winter, spring will come, and with it a swallow will appear, and it will fly, taking us to the land of flowers and sun. We will find our place on earth, where, among the right people, we will discover our potential. Then our wings will grow.

However, it’s up to us to take the first step and to decide whether we want to make this journey. It’s because luck and fortune favors the brave and determined, whilst opportunities, chances and helpful people tend to appear when we show openness and readiness to take action.

Many people call this action a risk. Isn’t it just a matter of perception, whereas the greater risk is just a passive surrender to what fate brings, living in a sense of resignation and unfulfillment?

That is why, after all, it is worth listening to the voice of the heart. It knows who you really want to be.
